NO LONGER INVINCIBLE Posted: 101516
Robert Kirkman has announced that Invincible will end after the 12-part The End of All Things arc. The last issue of the series will be #144. In a letter posted online Kirkman remarks that the title for him had become or was going to be a comic that existed just to retell the same story over and over again. The plan for the comic was for it to celebrate what he, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley loved about superhero comics but with their own spin on it. That’s why the book had the bad guys win, heroes give up and stop being heroes and killed off characters that never came back. Kirkman while working on the mega arc suddenly saw an end in sight and instead of having someone else take over the title he decided to end it.
