Marvel released a series of teasers about what we now know as Monsters
Unleashed. It has been revealed that the event will have Marvel's superheroes
face off against an all-star line-up of classic Marvel monsters starting in
January. It’s a five-issue bi-weekly event that will begin with a surprise
attack on the Marvel Universe by a variety of monsters including Fin Fang Foom,
Groot and Devil Dinosaur. The event will be written by Cullen Bunn and each
issue will be from a different artist. The art team consists of Steve McNiven,
Leinil Franics Yu, Adam Kubert, Salvador Larroca, and Greg Land. The idea is to
include every monster Marvel has ever used and Bunn says, “It’s an all hands on
deck situation. Imagine something like the Hulk, only much bigger. With the
destructive force those creatures have, the heroes will have to mobilize much
more quickly. The heroes find themselves very quickly in a situation where they
have no downtime; they have no chance to take a breath. They’re moving
constantly against what are essentially cataclysmic threats over and over
again.” All of Marvel’s heroes will be involved including the long since absent
Darkhawk. Monsters Unleashed #1 is scheduled to ship January 15th, 2016 and will
be 15 % Off all week long at Alternate Reality. |
