The Ocean’s 11 franchise is being rebooted with an all female cast. This version
will be called Ocean’s Eight and have Sandra Bullock play the George Clooney
characters sister. She will be joined by Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling,
Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway and Awkwafina. Billions’
Damian Lewis will play the villain in the film. There are rumors that Matt Damon
will make a cameo in the film but Clooney’s schedule made it impossible for him
to be involved. Free State of Jones’ Gary Ross will direct the film that will be
produced by Steven Soderbergh, one of his closest friends. |
