In the DC Universe: Rebirth one-shot from Geoff Johns, Ivan
Reis, Phil Jimenez, Ethan Van Sciver and Gary Frank we learned that Alan Moore
and Dave Gibbons’ Dr. Manhattan, were involved in the major changes of the DC
Universe. Batman found The Comedian’s blood-stained smiley face button on the
wall of the Batcave. It wasn’t revealed how it got there but that information
may be learned soon with a crossover between Batman and The Flash this spring.
The four-issue crossover called The Button will take place in Batman and The
Flash #21 and #22. Tom King and Jason Fabok will tell the Batman stories while
Joshua Williamson and Howard Porter show us The Flash’s side. Each issue will
have two covers-a lenticular one and a regular one all drawn by Fabok.
Williamson added more information to the Rebirth/Watchmen mystery in the Justice
League vs. Suicide Squad limited series. The full story behind the mystery will
apparently be told by Geoff Johns and Phil Jimenez later this year. |
