The first name mentioned to headline the WWE Hall of Fame is Kurt Angle. The
induction will be the first time he has been connected with the WWE since 2006.
The man who called him to inform him he was going to be inducted was Paul
Levesque (Triple H). Angle had an idea it was going to happen because he was
telling independent promoters he wouldn’t be taking any bookings. It isn’t clear
if the return means he will wrestle again in WWE but he is under contract
through the Hall of Fame ceremony. Other names being considered for this year’s
class include: WWE NXT General Manager William Regal, Rick Rude, Christian,
current agent Mike Rotunda (IRS), Diamond Dallas Page, the Natural Disasters
(John Tenta and Fred Ottman) and the female inductee is likely former WWE
Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix. |
