STAYING IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS Posted: 042817
Nick Fury Jr. is just using is father’s name now but he is deep within his father’s business. He isn’t leading S.H.I.E.L.D. but he is one of their best agents. This month we began to see how he works in the ongoing Nick Fury series from James Robinson and ACO. Robinson says he will show Fury like he was when he shifted from being Sgt. Fury to an agent. That Fury was rougher around the edges but could be quite stylish. To make that clear he will spend some time in his battle suit but most of the time he will just be wearing a suit. The missions he will go on will not be connected with current plots with S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra. Each issue will show a different mission set in various parts of the world. Nick will have as a main adversary a Hydra agent named Frankie Noble who isn’t a normal agent in the sense that she will show some personality. Visually the series will intentionally remind readers of Jim Steranko due to the fact that it will be done in Marvel style which has Robinson giving ACO a detailed plot with all of the dialogue page by page. Doing so allows ACO to be as creative as possible.
