RETIRED, BUT STILL COMPLAINING Posted: 061417
Anthony Johnson may have retired after losing to Daniel Cormier at UFC 210 but he hasn’t stopped complaining about the weigh in. Cormier missed weight by 1.2 pounds when he first stepped on the scale but made weight two minutes later with his hands touching the towel covering him while standing on the scale. The fight happened and Johnson lost but days later Johnson and his camp filed a formal appeal of Cormier’s weigh-in. They wanted Cormier to explain his actions during he weigh in and suggested that if he couldn’t then Cormier should be ordered to pay 20% of his fight purse to Johnson and stripped of his UFC title. As soon as that story broke on his Instagram account Johnson backed off of the request for Cormier to be stripped of the title.
