JONES REMAINS HIS OWN WORST ENEMY

Imagine being Jon Jones for just a second. He is one of the best fighters of his or any generation. Jones just beat Daniel Cormier to regain his light heavyweight title and had reached the top of the mountain again. And once again, it’s all gone since his post UFC 214 drug test came back with a positive test for anabolic steroids. The test result came back after his weigh in. Jones has been stripped of his title and since this would be his second USADA violation he could be banned from the sport for four years. Jones win was to have set up a rematch with Alexander Gustafsson. If he got past him there were rumors he would move up to heavyweight and fight a returning Brock Lesnar in 2018. The Lesnar return was and remains a rumor since Brock is under WWE control until after next years’ WrestleMania but if it wasn’t going to happen then it isn’t going to happen ever.
