CORNETTE GONE ALREADY Posted: 101517
Since GFW/Impact are doing Bound for Glory in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jim Cornette is already done with the promotion. The PPV will take place on 11/5 and there will be TV tapings on November 6-10. Cornette hasn't been to Canada for years because he was turned away at the border in 2010 when they ran his record. His record had a number of assault charges from the time he was a manager in the 80’s. He would be attacked by fans before and after and sometimes fought back. When he was involved with Ring of Honor he would never attend their shows in Toronto. There is no heat between him and GFW it was just a matter of circumstances. He was called into GFW by Jeff Jarrett to get some of the angles over with the plan of him being a heel manager. After his first set of tapings he and Jarrett agreed that he would come back for Bound for Glory and for a few days at the next tapings in November. Since Jarrett isn’t with the company anymore his position wasn’t secure and when he read on the internet Jarrett was gone he called agent Bob Ryder, who told him not to believe what he read on the Internet. Cornette then talked to creative team member Dutch Mantell and explained to him he could not go to Canada.
