 Netflix now owns Millarworld, the company founded by
Mark Millar. The deal gives them the rights to multiple properties such as
Empress, Chrononauts, Starlight, Superior and Nemesis but only if there are no
rights issues with film studios or if the options run out. Any future projects
will run on Netflix. Those projects can also include Jupiter’s Legacy/Circle,
Reborn and MPH and properties that Millar hasn’t announced because he knew the
deal was in the works. Millar is expected to make about $30-50 million in the
deal. He is rumored to be getting a job as a story consultant for other Netflix
projects. |
