The Champions team of Ms Marvel, Viv Vision, the Totally Awesome Hulk, Nova,
Spider-Man (Miles Morales), and the time displaced Cyclops are getting a new
creative team in April. Avengers No Surrender’s Jim Zub and Sean Izaakse will
come in and add The Unstoppable Wasp and Ironheart to the team roster. Zub says
he will explore how the team members bridge the gap between youth and adulthood.
That involves trying the change the world while also dealing with their lives
when they aren’t wearing masks. He will push the natural competition between Sam
Alexander and Miles and Kamala Khan’s reluctance to be team leader even though
she is suited for it. Zub says that the aftermath of No Surrender will affect
the team but can’t say how much since No Surrender isn’t over yet. His first arc
is called Northern Lights and will take the Champions to the Arctic to see who
or what is repairing a cluster of glaciers that calved from the mainland. There
will be elements of the arc and everything that follows that will eventually
lead to a much larger story. It all begins in CHAMPIONS #19 which is
currently scheduled to ship on Wednesday April1 11th 2018. It will be 15% off
