Daredevil season 3 according to actor Charlie Cox
will adapt parts of Frank Miller’s Born Again arc. That was suggested by the
last scene in The Defenders. Cox told THR, “There may be elements from Born
Again, but I’m sure there will be elements that are unfamiliar and surprising
and different in order for the show to be compelling to fans who know the comics
very well. If we start making Born Again page-for-page, then the people who have
read it and loved it — the hardcore fans — they won’t have too much drama.” The
Miller arc involved Daredevil’s secret identity being sold to Karen Page’s drug
dealer and that information ending up in the hands of Wilson ‘Kingpin’ Fisk.
Some elements will be changed since Karen Page isn’t a heroin-addicted porn
actress and Ben Urich died on the Netflix show. Season 3 has Vincent D’Onofrio
returning as a regular. The show has a new showrunner, Erik Oleson, who has
written scripts for the season that is expected to debut on the streaming
service in 2018. In other Marvel Netflix news Star Trek Into Darkness’ Alice Eve
has joined the cast of Marvel’s Iron Fist for the show’s second season. The
season will show Danny Rand (Finn Jones) and Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) as
the protectors of Chinatown. Season 2 has Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Tom
Pelphrey as Ward Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and Sacha Dhawan as
Danny’s childhood friend Davos all returning. |
