Domestic Problems Led to the Separation

Rich Swann had been arrested on domestic battery and false imprisonment charges. He is now no longer with the WWE. Recently in Gainesville, Florida there was an incident between Swann and Vannarah Riggs (independent wrestler Su Yung), who Swann has been in a relationship with for almost five years. The two married nine months ago. According to the Gainesville police Swann and Riggs were involved in an argument after she worked a show there. Swann was critiquing Riggs' performance and got angry with her which compelled her to get out of the car they were in. The report revealed that he chased her and yelled for her to get back in before grabbing her by the arm and around the neck with his arm. Swann then dragged her back to the car. A witness told the police they saw Swann push Riggs back into the vehicle while she screamed for help. The witness told the police Riggs was beating on the window and screaming for help as they drove away. Another witness saw the car swerving on the road with Riggs jumping out of it as it was still moving and Swann getting out of the moving car to chase her. The car rolled until it hit a telephone pole. Riggs told police that she thought Swann was going to hit her and that he refused to stop the car. He told the police he didn’t grab her. Swann was charged with a misdemeanor for the domestic battery charge and a felony for the false imprisonment charge. He spent the night in jail. Once the story broke Swann was suspended and even though Riggs decided to drop the charges the WWE fired him the day after Valentine’s Day.
