Comic-Con
International had panels covering all of the CW TV comic based shows and here
are the highlights: Riverdale Season 3 will tell of the teens’ junior year. The
season will begin with Archie on trial for murder. It will show Veronica running
a speakeasy in Pop’s since she needs to make her own money. The season will
introduce Jughead’s mom and sister in episode 8. We will see Edgar Never-Never,
the leader of Polly and Alice’s farm cult. A flashback episode with the kids
playing their parents will happen and we will see another musical episode. The
Flash Season 5 will introduce the Flash ring and give Nora Allen the codename
XS. American Pie’s Chris Kline will play the season’s villain, Cicada and he
does not have any speed powers. This season the new version of Harrison Wells
will be called Sherloque Wells and as the season goes on we will not be sure we
can trust him. It will be revealed how Killer Frost got her powers since she
wasn’t affected by the explosion of the accelerator. The 100th episode will be
directed by Tom Cavanagh and serve as the mid-season finale. The season will
have a few deaths, introduce a new LGBT character and show a younger version of
the Rogues. Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 will bring in Romona Young, introduce
Nate’s father, who will be played by Back to the Future’s Tom Wilson and mark
the return of Beebo. Maisie Richardson-Sellers will return as a regular but play
a new British character named Charlie. Legends will not be a part of the annual
crossover between the other DCU based shows. Arrow Season 7 will have Oliver
Queen in prison but show someone running around the streets of Star City wearing
the Green Arrow costume. Colton Haynes is returning as a regular this season
which will adapt the Mike Grell Longbow Hunters comic. This version is Red Dart,
Kodiak and the Silencer hunting down the team at the request of Diaz. The
crossover episode will introduce Batwoman to the series and possibly lead into
Kate Kane getting her own show. Black Lightning Season 2 will add Jordan
Calloway, who plays Khalil Payne aka Painkiller, as a series regular for Season
2. The season will reveal what is inside Tobias Whale’s briefcase. |
