BENDIS IS SUPER FOCUSED

At the end of Man of Steel Lois Lane and Jon Kent went off with Jor-El, Kandor was destroyed and the Fortress of Solitude was destroyed. The new home of the Fortress is the center of the Bermuda Triangle. And the new home of Superman will be filled with new gadgets and secret passages. Its all part of Brian Michael Bendis’ plan for the Superman Universe. He is writing both Superman and Action Comics. Superman will deal with big villains and major surprises especially at the end of year one where he promises he is doing something in the DC Universe that has never been done before. Action Comics will revolve around the world of Clark Kent at the Daily Planet. Bendis is contributing to the 100 page Wal-Mart specials with a Batman story drawn by Nick Derrington. His 12-page stories will place Batman into a different part of the DC Universe and the story will tie into the other DC books he is working on. In August Bendis’ Jinxworld line of comics will return. New titles are Pearl with Michael Gaydos and Cover with David Mack. The return of Scarlet is involved and he and Michael Avon Oeming are doing new Powers and United States of Murder Inc stories. Avon Oeming has already turned in all of his pages for a Powers graphic novel which seems to be the new format because the book always fell off the monthly promises when Marvel did the books. And later on this year he has a new imprint that he and his wife are putting together. Bendis will write some of the titles and has chosen the talent being used. He has and remains silent on what the books will be but has revealed they will use existing DC characters.
