The
X-Men Black comic is actually a line of one-shot comics. The comics are: Magneto
#1 (Chris Claremont / Dalibor Talajic), Mojo #1 (Scott Auckerman / Nick
Bradshaw), Mystique #1 (Seanan McGuire / Marco Failla), Juggernaut #1 (Robbie
Thompson / Shawn Crystal) and Emma Frost #1 (Leah Williams / Chris Bachalo).
Each issue will feature back up stories focusing on Apocalypse written by Lonnie
Nadler and Zac Thompson...the Infinity Warp characters Soldier Supreme (Captain
America and Doctor Strange); Iron Hammer (Iron Man and Thor); Weapon Hex (X-23
and Scarlet Witch), Arachknight (Spider-Man and Moon Knight) and Ghost Panther
(Ghost Rider and Black Panther) are actually a huge part of the Infinity Wars
event. Each will get 2-issue limited series…Web of Venom: Ve’Nam by Donny Cates
and Juanan Ramirez is the first of a series of quarterly one-shots that will
focus on pieces Venom’s hidden history. The events of the one-shots will affect
the regular series…the fall Spider-Geddon event will return to the alternate
worlds of Spider-Verse. Talent uses will be Christopher Priest, Gerard Way, Jody
Houser, Cullen Bunn, Javier Pulido, Aaron Kuder, Jason Latour and others doing a
series of one-shots. The main story will be set up in a one-shot by Christos
Gage and Clayton Crane. We will see a limited series from Gage, Dan Slott and
Jorge Molina after that brings back the vampire-like race from J. Michael
Straczynski and John Romita Jr.’s run on the series from the early 2000s |
