 Joss Whedon says he had an
idea for a Batgirl film but the more he worked on it he realized some parts
didn’t work and so he walked away from the project…Universal Pictures has
indefinitely delayed the Chris Pratt-led Image Comics adaptation Cowboy Ninja
Viking because the script just wasn’t there. Quantico’s Priyanka Chopra had just
been hired as the love interest and Jessica Jones’ Michelle MacLaren was set to
direct the film…John Wick: Chapter 2’s Ruby Rose has been cast as Batwoman, who
will appear in the annual DC superhero crossover event between Arrow, The Flash
and Supergirl but not Legends of Tomorrow. She is likely to get a spin-off
series from there and there will be no appearances of Batman in either…Warner
Bros. Pictures and DC Films are developing a new Supergirl film that will be
written by 22 Jump Street’s Oren Uziel…there was a rumor that Henry Cavill would
not be returning as Superman but it isn’t true…Avengers: Infinity War’s Anthony
and Joe Russo say the Red Skull will be seen again…Frank Miller has regained the
screen rights to the first Sin City film but not the second. He objected to the
Weinstein Company selling the rights to Lantern Capital Partners for $289
million so they made a deal to give him the rights back. |
