Injustice’s
Tom Taylor is working on a six-issue limited series called DCeased. According to
Taylor, "The idea originated with Editor Ben Abernathy. He had an idea to do a
horror/zombie tale at DC, and hit me up to ask if I’d like to be involved. At
the time I was pretty busy, but over the next few days, my mind was racing. I
couldn’t stop thinking of new and terrible ways to torture my favorite heroes in
ways that made Injustice look tame by comparison." The story will take place
outside of mainstream DC continuity and tell of an epidemic that spreads to over
600 million people through anything with a screen. Something like that may not
be something that anyone in the DCU, especially Batman can deal with: "Batman is
definitely usually ready for anything. And this is no different. But Batman’s
greatest asset, after his friends and family, is his mind. Without wanting to
spoil too much, our virus affects the mind. Can Batman fight something that’s
part of him?" The May limited series will be drawn by Trevor Hairsinea (LEGENDS
OF THE DARK KNIGHT) and Stefano Gaudiano (The Walking Dead).
It all begins with the new DC mini-series DCEASED #1 (OF 6) which
ships with three standard covers and is currently scheduled to arrive on New
Comic Wednesday-050119 with a $3.99 cover price. As always it will be Alternate
Reality "1st Day Sale" priced at 25% OFF ($2.99!) on the 1st and 15% OFF for the
rest of its first week of release ($3.39!) while supplies last. |
