Black
Panther’s Michael B. Jordan has signed on to produce and star in two upcoming
films based on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six and Without Remorse at Paramount
Pictures. He will play John Clark, an ex-Navy Seal who became a CIA operations
officer and has appeared in over 17 Clancy novels, starring in both. Remorse was
set in 1971 as former Navy SEAL returned from Vietnam John Kelly sets off on an
official military rescue of POWs, and a personal vendetta against the drug
runners who raped, tortured and killed the first woman he became involved with
since his wife’s death. There have been multiple attempts to adapt both books
but the film versions stalled out. The part was played by Willem Dafoe in Clear
and Present Danger and Liev Schrieber in The Sum of All Fears. Without Remorse
will be directed by Sicario: Day of the Soldado’s Stefano Sollima, who is also
set to direct the Call of Duty adaptation.
