Liam Sharp and Grant Morrison’s The Green Lantern has
begun the end of the first season of the series. When it was announced Morrison
said he had an idea for the first season but before the first issue was
published he came up with a second one that will start at an undetermined date.
#7 introduced a new world called Emerald Sands and Sharp found new ways to tell
a story that takes place within the Green Lantern logo. He experimented with the
colors of the issue to give the book a trippy twilight feel when showing the
Ministers, the shark guys. The issue included the new characters Myrwhydden and
Pengowirr, who are based on Merlin and Pendragon, even though the latter is just
an anagram of power ring. And in the issue Hal and Pengowirr find themselves in
a state of amnesia before eventually falling in love. #8 will involve the Green
Arrow and in it Hal will find himself and a new path. In issue #9 Hal lands on
the medieval fantasy planet of Athmoora while the GL's of the multi-verse will
be explored in #10
