Chris
Jericho claimed his AEW World Championship belt was stolen. He reported that
after eating at a Longhorn Steakhouse in Tallahassee, Florida the belt was
stolen. Jericho reported to police that he was taken to the restaurant by a limo
driver who took the belt back to a local airport because Jericho grabbed the
wrong luggage. When the driver got back with the correct luggage the belt was
missing. And so Jericho filed a police report but a Tallahassee man found the
belt and it was returned. Frank Price, claimed he found the belt while on the
way home from a party with friends. He saw a velvet bag in the road, grabbed it
and took it home. Price heard about the missing belt and turned it in to the
police department. While there he ran into the owner of the limo company who
gave him a $200 reward, which after looking into the incident was cleared by the
police since Price’s cell data had him nowhere near the steakhouse. Price told
the Tallahassee Democrat that he doesn't think the title belt was actually
stolen: “I think what happened is they just set it on the trunk of the limo and
it just fell off." And for all we know the whole thing was a work by Jericho for
free publicity.
