There
are two new TV projects involving WWE talent that will not be running on the WWE
Network. WWE Studios and Netflix are teaming up for a sitcom starring Big Show.
Production has begun on The Big Show Show, a half hour comedy. The premise is:
"When the teenage daughter of Big Show, a retired world-famous WWE Superstar,
comes to live with him, his wife, and two other daughters, he quickly becomes
outnumbered and outsmarted. Despite being 7 feet tall and weighing 400 pounds,
he is no longer the center of attention." WWE Studios and Netflix are also
making a family movie called The Main Event for 2020. WWE will team with A&E to
make five, two-hour documentaries as part of the network's Biography series. The
subjects will be: Randy Savage, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Roddy Piper, and
Booker T. The Austin and Michaels films will come out in 2021 but the other
three will be seen in the spring.
