COMICBOOKMAN SEZ: Once again it's Christmas for comic books! It's the
FCBD/CGD 2026
event and here's what to expect at the store starting at 10:00am and running through
6:00pm...
1) THE FREE COMICS, as we have done every year since 2002 you are more
than welcome to take 1 copy each of any or all of the 45 FCBD titles for this
year. That's right, not one book, not the "Marvel Books" but one
copy each of all 45 books
being offered if you wish. Free comics are on a "first come/first served" basis
and when they're gone-they're gone.
Again this year (weather permitting) ALL of the FREE COMICS will be set up
outside and separated into the three age ratings: ALL AGES, TEENS AND UP and
MATURE. There will be helpers outside to
help you find titles and bag up your books.
-"COMICBOOK GIVEAWAY DAY"? The previous sole distributor for FCBD was for
over 20 years Diamond Comics. They're gone now and distribution duties are
divided pretty evenly up between Lunar Distribution and Penguin/Random House.
While Lunar is sticking with the FREE COMICBOOK DAY trademark, Penguin is going
their own way with "COMICBOOK GIVEAWAY DAY". Why? Apparently because they can.
In any case the books are exactly as they have been for over 2 decades-FREE!
-LINE UP, please form a line down 111th Street, we'll let everyone
through to the free comics one at a time. 111th Street construction is long over
and there is usually plenty of free street parking as well as free parking in
the lot behind the store.
-SHOP, after you get your free comics if you want to come into the store
and shop then please do. Today's sale is open to all and goes on all day.
2) All 042926 New Shipping items are NOT part of the Free Comicbook Day
Sale. Of course our two Books of
the Week are still 25% Off! Our "Buy in
Bulk"
supplies (and only those BULK supplies) are also exempt from this sale.
3) Subscribers, any book(s) currently on hold for you are exempt from
this sale. Also even if you dropped off a FCBD list with us, we've already
pulled free comics for you so check with us before standing in line.
4) As always we will be passing out many "Back Issue Bucks" during the
course of the sale. However, you can not use your "Bucks" in conjunction with
any discounts.
