FOUNDER'S DAY SALE:

FOUNDER'S DAY each month is the one day we set aside to celebrate THREE momentous events. These events were all set in motion when Dietz & Geoff (our “Founders”) opened the Chicago South Side's very first comic book store in September of 1975: the "Dietz & Geoff Comicbook Emporium" at 10937 South Western Avenue.

-First is the day they hired Comicbookman to manage the Emporium: January 20th, 1978.
-Second is the day Comicbookman left the Emporium: June 20th 1983.
-Third and finally is the day Comicbookman opened Alternate Reality: August 20th 1994.

In honor these coincidentally cataclysmic 20th of the month events we have a

ALIGNMENT DAY is when the calendar aligns and BOTH Founder's Day & New Comic Day happen together on the SAME DAY! 20% OFF everything including THAT DAY'S BRAND NEW STUFF. That's right New Comics and all other items arriving NEW ON THAT DAY are all DISCOUNTED 20% OFF for that day!
But that's not all because the "1st Day Sale" also happens on this day as well! All this makes for one GIGANTIC SALE day.
Because it's tied to the date It only happens a few times a year so check your calendar!
