TNA has officially named Smashing Pumpkins’ front man Billy Corgan as the new
President. Former President Dixie Carter is now the new Chairman and Chief
Strategy Officer of IMPACT. Corgan will be responsible for leading day-to-day
operations for IMPACT and its affiliated brands while Carter will focus on
long-term planning, strategic partnerships and global growth. It’s a cosmetic
move that allows her to save face. Corgan joined IMPACT in May 2015 as a senior
producer. He has also been one of the major sources of funding for the last few
months. There are rumors that the sale is going to lead up to Carter leaving TNA
altogether. |
