UFC matchmaker Joe Silva is expected to vacate his position. He will stick
around during a transition period then leave the company. Silva has been with
UFC before Dana White or former co-owners Frank and Lorenzo Feritta. He took on
a consulting role with the UFC’s original ownership, SEG, around the time of UFC
3. His role in the company is expected to be taken over by Sean Shelby. Shelby
has worked more with the lighter weight classes but is expected to take the
reigns as UFC’s primary matchmaker. |
