The Prowler died in Amazing Spider-Man #17 but was brought back to life as a
clone by the Jackal. Now Hobie Brown thinks the villain and the other
resurrected Spider-Man villains are the good guys. Brown also needs medication
from the Jackal to stay alive so he is more or less forced to help him. Prowler
is involved in the Spider-Man event Clone Conspiracy but also has a solo series
courtesy of Nova’s Sean Ryan and artist Jamal Campbell. Dan Slott brought Brown
back into continuity as an important part of Peter Parker’s supporting cast by
having him work for Peter Parker and even wearing the Spider-Man suit when Peter
can’t. When the series begins Hobie will deal with the fact that Jackal could
have let him die but he didn’t. He thinks that the Jackal’s company NEW U is
working for good but knows the other villains brought back to life need to be
watched. The first arc will have the Jackal send Prowler on a special mission to
see who is trying to hack into Jackal’s servers. The first five issues will tie
into Clone Conspiracy and involve the new Electro, who killed him and Madame
Web. Hobie will also have to deal with the fact that the mission keeps him away
from the medication that keeps his body alive and the fact that Electro wants
him dead because he is now the Jackal’s favorite. |
