UFC champ Conor McGregor is now licensed to box in California
but don’t expect that rumored fight against Floyd Mayweather to happen anytime
soon. He is currently the reigning lightweight and featherweight UFC champion.
The UFC has stripped him of the 145-pound title but since McGregor still has the
belt that’s questionable. He is currently appealing the $150,000 fine and the
ordered 50 hours of community service that the Nevada Athletic Commission
slapped him with for the water bottle throwing incident at the UFC 202 pre-fight
press conference. McGregor is also maintaining he will never fight in Nevada
again. The entire thing is a moot point since McGregor is taking 10 months off
for maternity leave since he and his girlfriend are expecting their first child.
