Jeff Lemire’s next Bloodshot project
will launch in September. The limited series Bloodshot: Salvation will have
Lemire joined by artists Lewis LaRosa and Mico Suayan, who will tell a story set
in the present and the future. In the previous stories readers have followed the
relationship between Bloodshot and his girlfriend Magic, who he got pregnant and
has a child by. Since her family is filled with white supremacists they kidnap
Magic and the child which sets Bloodshot out to find them. At this point in his
life Bloodshot doesn’t believe in violence and is a man of peace; this series
will return him to his own ways. According to Lemire Magic wasn’t going to
become a major part of his stories but kind of did. She is just as damaged as
Bloodshot but in a different way. Salvation will fill in the blanks of her past
while retuning Rampage to the Valiant Universe. The arc will involve Omen, the
new incarnation of Project Rising Spirit also. |
