Power Man & Iron Fist will end to make way for a new Luke Cage ongoing from
David Walker and Nelson Blake II. The series will send Luke to New Orleans to
investigate the death of Dr. Noah Burstein, the man responsible for giving him
his powers. In doing so he will return to being a private detective in a city he
knows very little about. The move will take Luke out of his comfort zone and
place him in a city that isn’t seen often in the Marvel Universe. Walker will
introduce a new villain for Luke to take on and the supporting cast will include
a character that we will never be sure if he can be trusted. Other members of
the supporting cast will be seen in the first arc but in minor roles. The second
arc of the book will bring Luke back to New York but Walker will change where he
is based from time to time. Iron Fist will eventually show up but fans who want
to see them together on a regular basis will just have to read the new Defenders
series from Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez. Luke Cage #1 goes on sale
