There have always been rumors of a sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit? That’s not
going to happen according to director Robert Zemeckis. He believes that since
Disney is so family friendly they have no interest in a follow-up to what was at
the time considered to be a somewhat dark film. He also thinks that audiences
claim they want sequels but if they change the formula of the first film then
they hate it. There is a script ready to be shot that moved Roger and Jessica
Rabbit into the 1950s. The script does have the ghost of Eddie Valiant as a
character so we would have seen a digital version of actor Bob Hoskins. Zemeckis
confirmed again that Universal cannot remake Back to the Future without the
approval of himself and writer Bob Gale which isn’t going to happen. The same is
true for E.T. |
