is moving forward with its The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo sequel The Girl In
The Spider’s Web, a planned reboot for the series. The film will be directed by
Don’t Breathe’s Fede Alvarez. The film will have a new cast and yes, a new
Lisbeth Salander. Alvarez wants to cast his own film even though Rooney Mara is
more than willing to return. Daniel Craig isn’t but the deal he signed for the
David Fincher film meant he got paid even if a second film never got made.
Possible names attached to the film are Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman
but Johansson says that since Fincher isn’t involved she isn’t interested.
Production on the film will start in September. |
