 Doug Liman has been revealing a lot of details about Edge
of Tomorrow 2: he says the film will be smaller than the original and have a
more comedic tone…the film is really a prequel and will spend little time on the
battlefield…Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt will return but be joined by a third
character…there is no third film planned…the film is being written by Joe
Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse…the film will be called Live. Die. Repeat and
Repeat…we will learn more about Cruise’s Bill Cage character…Liman was happy
with the name change since when he was done shooting the original working title
All You Need Is Kill didn’t work for him anymore. He says the studio wanted to
call the film Edge of Tomorrow and he wanted to call it Live Die Repeat. So when
the film came out and people thought the film was called Live Die Repeat he told
the executive at Warner Bros who’d insisted that Edge of Tomorrow was the better
title that he was wrong and then the studio started pushing Live Die Repeat. |
