Barrasso of Sports Illustrated has reported that Rey Mysterio would not be
coming back to WWE to help with the Latin market. Vince McMahon nixed the idea
because he didn’t want to work with Rey’s management team, specifically Konnan.
Early reports had Rey wanting to sign with GFW but their financial situation
wasn’t going to make that a possible. He was working with Lucha Underground but
its unsure if that promotion is going to make it to a fourth year since they
have no new financial backers. Konnan said he wasn’t involved with the
negotiations and if he was going to be in the way he would let Rey work out his
own deal. |
