Tyron
Woodley was offered a fight against Nate Diaz for UFC 219 but Diaz passed.
Woodley was dealing with a shoulder injury that was supposed to keep him out of
action until 2018 but when a Diaz fight was offered to him he went for it. But
Diaz not even saying yes or no prompted Woodley to tell TMZ, “I’m fired up about
people that tell you ‘don’t be scared homie’ and then they scared. That’s what
I’m fired up about.” Diaz hasn’t fought since UFC 202 and has passed on fights
against Eddie Alvarez and Tony Ferguson before passing on this one. Diaz’s
boxing coach Richard Perez says Nate isn’t scared but wants to be paid. He has
been asking for a $20 million dollar payoff to fight Conor McGregor again which
isn’t going to happen. Perez thinks Diaz should get $15 million for any fight
but since he’s not a draw except when he fights McGregor we should get used to
him never fighting again. |
