Nick Diaz may be returning to the Octagon after
all. He hasn’t fought since losing to Anderson Silva at UFC 183 in January of
2015. The loss was later changed to a no contest when both fighters were
sanctioned for anti-doping violations. Diaz’s suspension has long since passed
but he had been sanctioned when he didn’t inform the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency
where he was for three tests. He was required to let the USADA where he was so
he could be randomly drug tested but missed three dates. His last test was in
2018 but he recently posted a photo on Instagram with the message: “Back where
we left off.” UFC President Dana White when he was caught on the street by TMZ
Sports told them, “I think Nick Diaz is interested in fighting right now. The
rest of this year; nothing but great fights coming up and hopefully we can make
a couple of those Diaz fights.” |
