McBride and David Gordon Green’s Halloween is a direct sequel to John
Carpenter’s 1978 original. So any film that came after never happened even
though we have seen them all. McBride says the film will not be gory but follow
the lead of the first film and be filled with dread. The films will have shout
outs to the other seven films for the fans but what happened in them will not be
a part of the story. Jamie Lee Curtis will return in the October film. And no,
Michael Myers isn’t her brother. |
