Hannibal’s
Bryan Fuller is developing a reputation for signing on to projects then leaving
them. He and Bones’ Hart Hanson were behind a reboot of the Stephen Spielberg TV
show Amazing Stories at Apple. Both left the project due to creative
differences. Fuller wanted to do a Black Mirror-type show and Apple didn’t like
the idea. Fuller and Michael Green were fired from Starz’ American Gods after
budget dispute. He also stepped down from Star Trek: Discovery over issues with
budget, casting and more. Amazing Stories is now under the control of Once Upon
a Time’s Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis. Fuller also walked away from The
Vampire Chronicles, a series adaptation of Anne Rice’s novels. Paramount TV had
optioned all eleven books in the series last year with the plan that Rice and
Fuller would executive produce the series with Christopher Rice serving as the
show’s main writer and showrunner. |
