 Uncanny X-Men will return in a 10-part
weekly Uncanny X-Men story arc called X-Men: Disassembled. The arc will involve
all the remaining mutants left on Earth for a story that promises could be the
X-Men’s final mission. The arc will be written by Ed Brisson, Kelly Thompson and
Matthew Rosenberg with art from Mahmud Asrar, R.B. Silva, Yildiray Cinar and
Pere Pérez. The months long Avengers story arc No Surrender showed Marvel that a
weekly book would work but this time tell a shorter story. All three writers
came up with the concept and will write pages in each issue. They can’t reveal
why the three teams have to suddenly work together and have a common agenda but
say the story will show what it means to be an X-Man and a mutant today. The
threat they face will be a blend of new and old villains. And when the series is
over the survivors will star in an Uncanny ongoing. |
