WPITT WANTS FINCHER…World War Z 2 is coming and Brad Pitt and Paramount Pictures are trying to convince The Social Network’s David Fincher to direct the sequel. According to Variety Fincher wasn’t interested but “negotiations are much further down the road” with Pitt. There will be no other offers out to directors until Fincher is either signed or decides to pass. The two have worked together before on Se7en, Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The Orphanage’s J.A. Bayona was going to direct the sequel but decided to do the Jurassic World sequel instead. World War Z 2 at the moment has a June 19th 2017 release date but that’s not likely to happen.
