BOND STILL OUT Posted: 021017
We have heard that Daniel Craig is done with the Bond franchise but that may not be true. He did do an interview with Time Out right after finishing Spectre that had him say he would rather slash his wrists than play the role again. He also said he wanted to move on and if he did return it would only be for the money. Then recently he told Vulture: “As far as I’m concerned, I’ve got the best job in the world. I’ll keep doing it as long as I still get a kick out of it… If I were to stop doing it, I would miss it terribly.” Producers haven’t even come up with an idea for a film and so no one really knows. One person who is interested in the role of it becomes open is Mad Max’s Tom Hardy who thinks his friend Christopher Nolan would be the perfect choice to replace Sam Mendes, who is made it clear he isn’t returning for Bond 25. And while we are on the subject of James Bond director Marc Forster recently reflected on the failure of Quantum of Solace. He stated that the film didn’t work because it went into production without a finished script due to the writers’ strike and so he and Craig had to re-write the film as they were doing it. He even thought about dropping out of the film because he saw the trouble he was about to get into but didn’t. Forster also had to edit the film within six weeks of finishing production which didn’t help either.
