Trek: Discovery now has a full cast. The Walking Dead’s Sonequa Martin-Green
will play the lead, a Lieutenant Commander on the ship. She will join Michelle
Yeoh, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Shazad Latif, Mary Chieffo and Chris Obi.
Gotham’s James Frain is set to play Sarek, Spock’s father and The Patriot’s
Jason Isaacs will play the captain of the ship Lieutenant Commander Rainsford is
assigned to. When it was first announced the CBS All Access series was to begin
this May but now we will not see it until late summer or early fall since the
show is being shot now. As for the film franchise Simon Pegg and Doug Jung are
working on a script what will involve Chris Hemsworth returning to play the
father of James Kirk. |
