X-MEN AGAIN Posted: 071917
The X-Men franchise at 20th Century Fox is at a crossroads point. Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart say they are done with the franchise and most of the actors under contract are free to go elsewhere. Deadpool 2 is about to start filming and a third film is already on the books which will set up an X-Force film. X-Men: Apocalypse was the end of Bryan Singer’s involvement with the film franchise. The Gambit film is in limbo and Josh Boone’s The New Mutants is currently casting. The next main X-Men film is shooting right now and is being looked at as a soft reboot of the franchise. Rumors had the film being called X-Men: Supernova but writer and possible director Simon Kinberg says that’s not the case. He has hinted that the film will involve the Dark Phoenix storyline.
