Rob Van Dam says a concussion he suffered while in the ring left him with an injury that makes it impossible to return to WWE and has cost him a major loss in income. This was revealed in documents flied in his divorce from his estranged wife Sonya. She wants him to pay more alimony than he can afford since he isn’t working much at all. RVD in the filing reveled that on 11/12/2016 he suffered a concussion that has affected his vision and made it impossible to come back to WWE. The match was for an independent company called PCW. The match involved RVD flying out of the ring and fighting with a steel chair. Court documents include a copy of WWE’s Concussion Management Program protocol and a medical evaluation from earlier in the year confirming his concussion. RVD did have a merchandising deal with WWE that expired in July. He claims that his ex is fully capable of earning her own income and wants the judge to be reasonable in an alimony determination.
