DC
Comics will introduce a line of titles for young readers and middle-graders this
fall. The lines will be called DC Zoom and DC Ink. DC Ink will be for the
young-adult audiences and include the following: Batman: Gotham High (from
Witches of East End’s Melissa de la Cruz), a Batman: Nightwalker GN from
Legends’ Marie Lu, Teen Titans from Beautiful Creatures’ Kami Garcia, Under The
Moon: A Catwoman Tale from Kissing Kate’s Lauren Myracle and Wonder Woman:
Tempest Tossed from Chains’ Laurie Halse Anderson. The DC Zoom line for
middle-grade readers includes: Batman Tales: Once Upon A Crime (from Derek
Fridolfs and Dustin Nguyen), Batman: Overdrive (from DC Super Hero Girls’ Shea
Fontana), Black Canary: Ignite (from The Princess Diaries’ Meg Cabot), Dear
Justice League (from Tombquest’s Michael Northrop, Green Lantern Legacy (from
Drawn Together’s Minh Lê, Super Sons (from novelist Ridley Pearson) Superman Of
Smallville (from Art Baltazar & Franco), Superman Smashes The Khan (from New
Super-Man’s Gene Yang), Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass (from Mariko Tamaki and
Steve Pugh), Danielle Paige’s Mera and Shea Fontana and Yancey Labat’s DC Super
Hero Girls: Search For Atlantis will be the first title from DC Zoom. The line
will be overseen by DC’s executive editor, Bobbie Chase. |
