AMBROSE LEAVING WWE, WE THINK-MAYBE Posted: 030319
There are a lot of rumors surrounding Dean Ambrose and his future in the WWE. Pro Wrestling Torch first reported the news that Ambrose refused a new contract with WWE and was planning to finish up with the company in April. Their report had Ambrose tell WWE management, including Vince McMahon after being offered a new contract and a raise that he wasn’t going to sign it. There are reports about him being unhappy with the direction of his character, the Bane type moral conscience of the WWE, which he called “hokey sh*t.” Once the story got out then the WWE issued this statement: “Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April. We are grateful and appreciative of all that Dean has given to WWE and our fans. We wish him well and hope that one day Dean will return to WWE.” And that’s when the story started looking like a work since the WWE never confirms talent is leaving or their contract status. Making this even stranger is the personality change Ambrose got as soon as the story came out. He’s gone back to his old entrance theme without the sirens and has adopted his lunatic status. A recent RAW included a segment in which he asked Seth Rollins where he was when he was being beaten up which negated months of storylines. So he is leaving (to possibly go to AEW) or this is all a work.
