When Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth signed
long-term contracts for their roles in Marvel’s movies way back then the pay
wasn’t that great. But that was then and since Avengers: Endgame is over THR
posted an article going into their salaries for that film and potential future
projects. Scarlett Johansson is going to clear about 20 million dollars for
starring and producing the upcoming Black Widow. Hemsworth and Evans
renegotiated their deals for Infinity War and Endgame, which got them $15-20
million for each. Hemsworth added projects to his deal and so his salary will
increase. Robert Downey Jr. made a deal with Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige
that ended up getting him $5 million a day for three days’ work on Spider-Man:
Homecoming and about $75 million for Avengers: Infinity War. All of the
originals ended up with huge bonuses along with their original salaries. For the
Disney+ TV series, actors Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Anthony Mackie
(Falcon), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) worked out
deals separate from their existing contracts which pads their wallets even more.
The deals signed with Chadwick Boseman and Benedict Cumberbatch have options for
the next films in their franchises as do the stars of the Guardians of the
Galaxy films but James Gunn says the team will look different at the end of the
third film.
