Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will end with season
7…Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller have
closed a five-year deal with Sony Pictures TV. The pair will develop a Marvel TV
universe…the moment Netflix cancelled the Marvel shows rumors began to surface
that the shows would migrate to the Disney+ streaming service or on Hulu.
Netflix lawyers have made it clear that that cannot happen until after 2020,
which would be after all the options for the actors on the show have
ended…Disney+ will run two Marvel documentary series. One will be called
Marvel’s 616 which would look at the real world context of Marvel Comics stories
and their impact. The other is Marvel’s Hero Project, which would look at the
positive changes several young heroes are making in their own communities…Hulu
and Marvel Entertainment have announced the ensemble cast for its Marvel’s
Helstrom series. The show will follow siblings and supposed serial killer
offspring Daimon Helstrom and Ana Helstrom. The cast includes: The Royals’ Tom
Austen as Daimon Helstrom, Fear the Walking Dead’s Sydney Lemmon as Ana Helstrom,
Homeland’s Elizabeth Marvel as Victoria Helstrom and The Wire’s Robert Wisdom as
Caretaker…Hulu has cancelled the planned live-action Marvel Ghost Rider TV
project that would have starred Gabriel Luna. It was first reported that
creative issues stalled the series but a report says that the show was killed by
Kevin Feige who wants to use the Rider in movies and not on TV…rumors are strong
that Marvel TV is going to go away as a division with Marvel Studios taking over
everything.
