Free ComicBook Day 2024...

COMICBOOKMAN SEZ: It's Christmas for comic books! It's the
FCBD 2024
event and here's what to expect starting at 10:00am and running through
6:00pm...
1) THE FREE COMICS, as we have done every year since 2002 you are more
than welcome to take 1 copy each of any or all of the 48 FCBD titles for this
year. That's right, not one book, not the "Three Marvel Books" but all 48 books
being offered if you wish.
Again this year (weather permitting) ALL of the free comics will be set up outside and
separated
into the three age ratings: ALL AGES (Green FCBD Logo), TEENS AND UP (Blue FCBD Logo) and MATURE (Red FCBD Logo)-refer
to the graphic below for color coding labels. There will be helpers outside to
help you find titles and bag up your books.
-LINE UP, please form a line down 111th Street, we'll let everyone
through to the free comics one at a time. 111th Street construction continues
(not however on Saturdays) so parking is unfortunately at a premium. Feel free
to park in the abandoned 7-11 lot across the street from the store.
-SHOP, after you get your free comics if you want to come into the store
and shop then please do. This years sales are listed below as is the return of
RAFFLAMENIA to FCBD for 2024.
2) All 050124 New Shipping items are NOT part of the Free Comicbook Day
Sale. Of course our two Books of
the Week are still 25% Off! Our "Buy in
Bulk"
supplies (and only those supplies) are also exempt from this sale.
3) Subscribers, any book(s) currently on hold for you are exempt from
this sale. Also even if you dropped off a FCBD list with us, we've already
pulled free comics for you so check with us before standing in line.
4) As always we will be passing out many "Back Issue Bucks" during the
course of the sale. However, you can not use your "Bucks" in conjunction with
any discounts.

comic book specialty shops (like us) across North America and around the world
give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops. The
first FCBD was in 2002 and we've participated in every single
one!
After Christmas, the "Happiest Day of the Year" for comic fans is
FREE COMICBOOK DAY and we'll be OPEN all day long with our
"FCBD" DAY Sale. It's our biggest sale of the year!

Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) comics this year
will be distributed the same way we have every year since the first "Free Comic
Book Day" in 2002.
All 48 of titles will be available when the doors open at 10:00am on FCBD (050424).
Patrons
are welcome to take ONE copy each of any or all of the 48 books being offered.
Supplies are limited and all books are on a first come/first served basis.
SUBSCRIBERS:
As we have every year, ARSS Members may fill out and drop off their
FCBD 2024 CHECKLIST
anytime up to the Friday before FCBD and we will pull and hold their books for
them.
This service is offered to ARSS Subscribers only.
ABOUT THE CHICAGO BAG TAX:
As we have every year, we ask all patrons to
allow us to bag up their FREE COMICS before they enter the store on FCBD. In order to keep things moving and
not impact the days festivities, we will absorb the cost of the Chicago seven
cent bag tax for the duration of FCBD Saturday.
In other words: The Bags are on us on FCBD! |

FCBD RAFFLEMANIA!
If you haven't heard-RAFFLAMANIA IS BACK and
that means it's also back for FREE COMICBOOK DAY!
Every year for FCBD we would put together a Super-Rafflemania package and for 2024 we're
doing it again!
This special FCBD RAFFLEMANIA will take place on Saturday, with the
specifics to be revealed this FRIDAY.
No purchase necessary, if you've already filled out a RAFFLEMANIA TIX
then you're entered, if not then just stop by and enter anytime!
