When Fox announced 24: Legacy it was made clear that Kiefer Sutherland would not
return as Jack Bauer in the event series. Then executive producer Howard Gordon
said this: “I sure would love to see Sutherland at some point on the show, and I
don’t think he’s ruled it out, either.” When pressed Gordon then said that there
were no plans at the moment for Sutherland to return to the role. Since
Sutherland is working on ABC’s Designated Survivor and popped up to sell the
show at the Television Critics Association press tour he made it clear that he
isn’t going to appear on the show. He will be an executive producer on the
spin-off series. Sutherland did say that he would return as Jack but only if it
was going to be a movie. |
